This is an A127 65 amp alternator from the Allmakes 4x4 brand.
It charges the battery and supplies the electrical system while the engine runs, and is usually replaced when the charge warning light stays on, the battery goes flat or the bearings become noisy.
Compatible with Land Rover Defender (2.5 diesel and petrol, 200 TDI, V8), Discovery 1 (V8) and Range Rover Classic (V8, VM diesel).
